The Bullblog hasn’t been keeping tabs on James Franco since he bailed on the freshman talent show but apparently we shouldn’t have been surprised about his .  Ex-NYU professor Jose Angel Santana sued the university for allegedly firing him after he gave Franco a D in “Directing the Actor II” after missing 12 out of 14 class meetings.  He now is suing Franco himself for defamation after Franco made statements such as “I didn’t feel like I needed to waste my time with a bad teacher.” Santana responded in a statement to the New York Post: “Whoever was in Clint Eastwood’s chair at the Republican National Convention was more present than Mr. Franco was in my classes.”

The intrigue builds. Santana is also claiming that Franco received a free pass in other classes by rewarding professors with jobs on his films.  Hopefully this means that we will get to see our favorite Yale professors as extras in James Franco productions to compensate for his passing grades—Mary Miller in 127 Hours, anyone?
