NB: Oh No They Didn’t picked up the James Franco TA hoax as well… there are going to be a lot of disappointed English majors!
James Franco, Yale pry won’t let you teach next year
So the James Franco at Yale story that was born on the Bullblog, way back on March 24, has made it to People, one of the Bullblog’s very favorite publications. They don’t link to us. Instead, they have (allegedly) actually interviewed James Franco. Assuming they transcribed their notes correctly, it seems Franco told them he “hopes to be teaching in the fall as a TA.” Newsflash, Harry Osborn: first years never teach. They spend their time taking Wallace Stevens with David Bromwich and Medieval Drama with Jessica Brantley. Second year, PhD candidates might sit in on a ENGL127 section. Only then do they actually teach. So you’ll have to wait two whole years before you’re leading a Milton section (so, 2013, wait til you’re seniors to take all your English lectures!). One bit of advice… avoid TAingĀ Daily Themes.
