As the old proverb says, “Barack Obama does not care about black people.”
A recent survey shows that one-third of Republicans in Louisiana blame president Obama for the government’s response to Hurricane Katrina.
You might be thinking, “Do they mean the Hurricane Katrina that happened in 2005?” or “Do they mean the President Obama who was elected in 2008?” Short answer: yes. Long answer: yes, indeed.
But, before you make some absolutely outrageous and idiotic statement based on pure hate instead of fact, let’s try to figure out the logic of these mavericks.
I think it’s pretty safe to assume about 15 percent of these folks confused the similar-sounding names of George Bush and Barack Obama. Ugh, I always get those confused! The names and presidencies are really so similar that this question is just “gotcha!” journalism at its best.
Another large percentage of these people are probably such big fans of President Obama that they have blocked anytime that he was not president out of their memory.
Then, there’s the rest of these Republicans who are such big Obama fans that they’ve come to think of him as a living God that controls the weather.
