Student documentary on Stillness and Light makes us want to go to there

Indigo Blue: a Video from Indigo Blue on Vimeo.

A short review on FilmThreat.com today praises Branford senior Richard Miron’s nine minute documentary on Indigo Blue, the center for Buddhist life at Yale. The little documentary focuses on Bruce Blair, the Buddhist chaplain here at Yale, and the service he started called Stillness and Light, which happens every single night in Battell from 10 pm to 2 am. Just watching the two minute trailer above made me realize how much calmer my life would be if I attended this service even once, mostly because I couldn’t get through the whole two minutes before feeling the need to open another tab and check my email. Watch the video, take a couple deep breaths, and then maybe even go to Stillness and Light for real.
