Here are some things I've noticed about Yale under President Levin

--Yale employee wages are slashed. Levin cites the bad economy.
--Tuition increases at an exponential rate.
++Levin's own pay increases proportionally.

You do the math.

Isn't everyone's every keystroke being monitored online? And, why is the NYPD spying on Yale students? Isn't that what the secret police are for? Aren't there any crimes being committed in New York?

It's more about vnuees and names accumulation then artists and concepts.Sentences like Hurry, the works are created in editions of 50 and will certainly sell out are just to vomit.

I can't wait to see the pthoos, Adam. How exciting. It's really interesting to see how one exhibition can look so different at different venues. I hope I get a chance to come down and see it properly. In a few weeks I'm going to be starting another project with a Creative and Media Diploma group based on the exhibition. If Plymouth wasn't so far away we could have done a group visit. We might have to wait until the show moves to Sunderland

While I do applaud you on your accomplishments, I think that it would be useful for the readers to get a fuller picture of KIPP. Though you did not say that KIPP works for everyone, it is at least implied that it works for many, if not most. But if you look back at the 6th grade class you started with, it is likely that only about 50% actually got through 8th grade at KIPP. Certainly you distinguished yourself at KIPP if you got into Choate, where John F. Kennedy went to school. KIPP does get some scholarships for their top students, but there are only so many spots for that. KIPP has 100 schools. Some are good. The one in Jacksonville Florida is one of the lowest performing schools in the state. I'm glad that KIPP helped you achieve your dreams. I know that you didn't state, or really imply, that a majority of KIPP alumni have done as well as you. But KIPP, the organization does like to make it seem that way. That is my main criticism of KIPP. By not admitting that they are not a great fit for many of their students, they have negatively affected the national dialogue about education. Politicians think that KIPP has figured out the answer to fixing the education crisis, while they have not.
I'd love to hear more about your journey from KIPP to Yale. Feel free to comment on my blog garyrubinstein.teachforus.org and I'll get back to you.
