5 classes to take if you’re a second-semester senior

No classes before noon, no scheduled final examinations, no Friday classes. And you have a good chance of getting in because you finally have seniority.

1. AMST 395/ER&M 391: Radical California, Stephen Pitti. T 1.30-3.20 WLH 002. “A survey of twentieth-century California history and culture.”

2. ANTH 358/AFST 363/WGSS 363: Beauty, Fashion, and Self-Styling, Graeme Reid W 1.30-3.20 SA10 105. Direct quote from the evaluation:

3. ENGL 358: Literature for Young People, Michele Stepto. M 1.30-3.20 LC 103. Authors include J.K. Rowling, Dr. Seuss, and Maurice Sendak.

4. FILM 339/AMST 380: Cultural Encounters in American Film, Zareena Grewal. Th 1.30-4.30 HGS 220A. Screenings are in class, ’nuff said.

5. HSAR 310/HUMS 270: Futurism: The Shock of the New, Amerigo Fabbri. Th 1.30-3.20 LORIA 258. Only four responses about the workload — all were “Less.” One evaluation, in full: “This is a fun course.”
