A Santa-filled Saturday!

This reading week, have you been naughty or nice? If you, like the Bullblog have been mostly the former, you may have been worried today by the sudden proliferation of Santa Claus paraphernalia around campus. First, a giant shiny Santa hat was spotted by several tipsters on the front stage of SSS114, just in time for today’s Intro to Microeconomics Intermediate Microeconomics midterm:

CIMG0015IMG_0217IMG_1712Next to the hat is a sign attributing it to the New Haven Public Schools, although the Bullblog is somewhat dubious. We have confirmed, however, that this hat was not the work of the Pundits.

The second, much scarier, instance of Clausery was New Haven’s own version of SantaCon, in which Santa suit-clad gentlemen travel throughout the day from bar to bar getting increasingly drunk and un-Santa-like. A parade of such men could be seen midday, acting rowdy and loud, on Chapel St, presumably coming from the infamous Crown St vice district and going to Rudy’s. A loyal Bullblog fan sent us this picture of one of the Santas getting some food (drunk munchies?) at Ay Salsa:new haven santaAs our tipster says, “Apparently we should be leaving delicious arepas out instead of cookies and milk.”

It’ll need to be quite a few arepas if we’re to appease him for our sins!

It was Samuelson’s Intermediate Economics class that had its exam in SSS114 on Saturday. Intro Econ meets in the law school auditorium, and its exam was on Monday.
