Attention Esther and Paul: The Mory’s sign has been there for months

The other day, my good friend Esther Zuckerman posted a piece on CrossCampus announcing that Mory’s had just put a sign on their facade announcing some details of their upcoming renovation. As a Mory’s member since October Freshman year, I knew right away the piece was off—I walk past Mory’s almost every day, and had seen the sign there starting in like, November. So like any concerned reader, I commented as much on the post. Yesterday, I checked back and found that my comment had not been approved. Strange!
Luckily, I ran into Esther at Modern Love last night. I asked her about the comment, and she told me she had seen the comment but was sure the sign had just gone up. Apparently, EIC Paul Needham confirmed that its newness.
Ha!
I e-mailed legendary Mory’s Secretary Robin Solesz and asked for the truth—and she told me definitively the sign has been there for months. She admitted that it was taken down for a period, and was just put back up, but as I suspected, it originally got put up some time last semester.
Esther, Paul, you know a lot of things about a lot of things… but when it comes to Mory’s, it’s not wise to challenge me.
