Doubtless Sam Tsui + team have been getting a lot of publicity for their videos on YouTube. But one of the standout nods that we’ve found is on Queervoice, where Sam’s channel (actually Kurt Schneider’s, but they’re one and the same) has been listed as one of the GAYEST YOUTUBE CHANNELS EVER.
Now that’s a pretty impressive feat, considering the formidable competition. Queervoice doesn’t speculate on the sexual orientation of either of the Sam + Kurt team (and nor will we!) but does note the extraordinary queer appeal of Sam’s videos, especially his recent Lady Gaga medley. Keep it gay, Sam!

I could be reading it wrong, but I’m fairly certain it says that they are not speculating on the sexual orientation of either of the Sam and Kurt team. I find the anger at the questioning of Sam’s sexuality interesting when in fact the article is talking about both Sam and Kurt. Are people not offended that Kurt is clearly in question here, too? Or is that not an option? If not, why? Is there something about Sam that makes you focus on his sexuality more? The answer to that question may lead you to the next observation.
Whether you would like to accept it or not, sexuality is a part of your image as a musician. Both Sam and Kurt are musicians, so their sexualities will be in question. This article is simply bringing up the point that Sam and Kurt have been recognized by Queervoice. It is a valid observation on their images as youtube stars. Note again that the article does not make an assumption.

Connor and Just Me are right, I’m gay and I don’t really find this stuff offensive, nor would I if I were Sam Tsui. Any publicity is good publicity, right? There’s nothing wrong with being gay, and its only human nature for people to be curious, particularly about celebrities. How else do you explain all the idiotic tabloids? Personally, I don’t like how people feel they have the right to know all the intimate details of a celebrity’s life, simply because they are popular — but that is just the way people are, and anyone entering the spotlight should be prepared for these invasive forms of fanaticism. That having been said, I just think he’s hot, and it wouldn’t hurt to know he bats for my team, lol. I’d prefer not to speculate either, but for any ladies waiting for the chance to ask Sammy boy out, my advice would be to not hold your breath. If he decides to share with everyone and come out as gay, only on that day will you truly know for sure. What’s important is when that day comes, he know that I’m available. Haha take it easy ladies and gents.

Um.. are all of you people down there illiterate? They’re not insulting him. They’re stating that half of his appeal is brought on by the fact that he’s so feminine. So yes, he fits the stereotypical “gay” role. Do they have a problem with gays? Not that I’ve read. Do I have a problem with gays? Not at all. Gay is the new black.
