Bullblog bathroom guide part two: Old campus

By 3 October 2009 2 Comments

This is the second of a four-part series on where to poo on Campus. Sometimes, you just can’t make it to your entryway… but you can still make smart choices about which public bathroom you want to use. All stalls are NOT created equal.

OVERVIEW: Having to use the bathroom in Old Campus is like being thirsty on a sailboat in the Pacific, only here the tantalizing abundance is WCs in inaccessible entryways, not salt water. But there are still toilets to be had, if you know your way around. Just ignore freshman residences, and think of classroom buildings.

WORTH A DETOUR:

LC—There are many bathrooms in this building, and all are worth going to for their tiled floors and nice fixtures. The only one to avoid is the single outside the two auditoriums nearest High St, which is sometimes messy; the best choices are on the highest floors, because those are usually only frequented by professors.

A GOOD CHOICE:

Phelps Hall—Very out of the way, but spacious enough if you’re in the area.

AVOID:

CT Hall—These are awkwardly close to the computer cluster, so your friends will be able to hear you flush. Also they just aren’t very nice.

Street Hall—Like the rest of the building, very antiquated.

  • also worth a trip: the Yale Rep. The stalls are spacious, the women’s room has those great fold down ledges to rest your purse on, and there’s one of those great star of the show mirrors surrounded by lights. Feel like a star! Pee like a star!

  • Also the bathrooms in the basement of Durfee’s are like the Twilight Zone.
