Bullblog tip-off: John Adams Tanner Lectures

By 28 October 2009 No Comments

Unfortunately, this event has nothing to do with our constitution nor with Paul Giamatti.  The Tanner Lectures on Human Values — so I guess they can be on anything, really — are to be given this year by John Adams, Pulitzer-prize winning composer.

There are two lectures, one today and one tomorrow, both at 4:30 at the Whitney Auditorium.  If you’re only going to hit one, I’d recommend holding out until tomorrow, when he’ll talk about his opera “Doctor Atomic,” which is about J. Robert Oppenheimer and the Manhattan project — cool.
