Believe it or not, there hasn’t been a production of a Shakespeare play on campus since last semester’s watershed Winter’s Tale (I’m not counting those British kids who visited and kind of performed Twelfth Night).  And if the YDC website has its way, there won’t be another one this semester.  So get your fill of blank verse and pregnant nuns at Measure for Measure (a play called by Harold Bloom “rancid,” although I think affectionately), this weekend at the Whitney, which boasts more than one luminary, including DSK-protegée Erin Capistrano, legendary former Baker’s Dozen John-Michael Parker, and History Boys Raphael Shapiro and Tom Sanchez.
