Caseus truck delivers

We told you about the Caseus truck first weeks ago, and now we bring you our reactions to the actual food. I braved the elements and stood in line mere minutes ago, when the truck was parked on College just south of Cross Campus. I ordered the special sandwich of the day, a grilled cheese with ham and a local egg, and a tomato soup. Reactions? The sandwich was amazing… a greasy morsel to best them all, set off by the acidity of cornichons and mustard on the side. They know their cheese. The tomato soup was honestly underwhelming; it’s winter, so the tomatoes were probably canned, and they tasted so. The flavors were just a little muted and muddled. The take-away? Definitely visit the truck, but stick with just a sandwich.
ALSO, for all Man versus Food fans out there: the truck challenges patrons to create their own sandwich and eat ten of them without throwing up. Any who complete this daunting challenge are rewarded with a t-shirt and get their sandwich named after them… any who fail must pay the hefty price (physically and monetarily) of 10 grilled cheeses. I plan on completing this challenge, and I will be sure to let you all know in case you want to watch.
UPDATE: APPARENTLY, the main part of the prize is that, if you complete it succesfully, you get to eat your creation FREE FOR LIFE. I’m definitely doing it now!
