Has anyone noticed the new Bulldog Food Court? The departure of Blockbuster from the New Haven commerce scene was admittedly inconspicuous, but so distracted am I by the new Asian fare outlet‘s monstrous red sign that I have trouble navigating Chapel Street without running into the window of the nearest Ann Taylor Loft.

Perhaps my AP Econ class failed me, but to my understanding, business endeavors generally begin in response to a demand — and the last time I checked, no one was clamouring for mega-mall quality noodle bowls to save our wretched campus from a food desert devoid of any cuisine with origins east of the middle east. There’s enough of that at Westfield Shoppingtown.

To be fair, Bulldog Food Court may be ugly, empty, and entirely unappealing, but thank goodness we finally got some Asian food in this town, right?
