Gawker loves to hate Yale videos

Gawker has picked up on the Yale Sorority Rush video phenomenon in a post titled “Yale Sorority Girls are Smart, Hard Working, and most importantly, Pretty” which describes Courtney Pannell, arguably the most beautiful person, soul, and mind at Yale, as “a girl with a Rhys Ifans wig and raccoon eyes” and Chloe Gordon and Phoebe Hinton, co-EICs of Rumpus as “nerdy non-sorority types”.  How could he tell?  Because they aren’t blonde?  Maybe a little bit dirty?  What it all comes down to is secretly loving the numerous Yale viral video phenomenons; “Ah well. Hey Yale! Stop making videos. Any ivy-covered mystique you may have once had is very quickly eroding away to reveal your dorky and not-terribly-attractive insides. Actually, scratch that. Keep making videos.”
