Ivy League-themed playlists?
Graphic designer Brian Gossett has recently released a 7th addition to his series of Ivy-inspired playlists, downloadable for free at Since 78. Inspired by Teruyoshi Hayashida’s douchebag “prepster” handbook Take Ivy, the seven playlists mix new favorites like the Kinks and Vampire Weekend with old classics like Arcade Fire and Elvis Costello.
In describing the playlists, the The Ink, a blog of the Princeton University Press Club, implores its readers to “sit back, relax, and let the popsy optimism of the Ivy Leagers in Vampire Weekend welcome you back to the Orange Bubble in style!” You’re right, Princeton. I’m sure the playlists are the perfect soundtrack for croquet on the lawn or ironing the collars of your polo shirts, but we here at Yale try to be a little more original.
