New New Facebook: What do you think?

Remember when we all got up in arms about “New Facebook”?  It was the “New Coke” of our generation, but we never got our old beloved back.  It turned out that “New Facebook” wasn’t so complicated to use and actually a whole lot more convenient, but that didn’t stop us from reminiscing.  Does anyone even remember what “Old Facebook” looked like anymore?  Well now facebook has this whole new new thing going on and I’m not too sure how I feel about it.  Thank goodness not that much has changed, but I’m really confused by this new “dashboard”.  Just take a look:

Picture 51What are games?  What does the (7) next to my friends mean?  Does this mean I only have 7 friends?  And most importantly, what do those three impossible to see icons at the top left mean?  Most importantly, why is it necessary to have my chat list in two places (the bottom left and bottom right)?  I guess this replaces the bizarreness of the old facebook which had a link to “profile” and a link to “your name” that both led, inexplicably, to your profile.  I just miss the old old (PRE-APPLICATIONS, PRE-OPEN NETWORK GROUPS, PRE CONNECTED HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE SITES) facebook with the little quote at the bottom and the blue face icon.  Tell me what you guys think!

    IT USED TO TAKE ME 1 CLICK (5 SECONDS) TO GO WHERE I WANT ON MY PROFILE, NOW I HAVE TO GO THROUGH 3 DAMN SCREENS (1-2 MINUTES SINCE YOUR DAMN NEW LAYOUT WON’T LOAD PROPERLY ARE AS QUICK) TO GET TO THE SAME PLACE!!! HELL SOMETIMES THIS NEW LAYOUT WON’T LOAD AT ALL AND GET THE MESSAGE THAT YOUR “NEW CRAP” TOOK TOO LONG SO IT TIMED OUT!

    THIS IS FACEBOOK…NOT TWITTER! STOP TRYING TO TURN FACEBOOK INTO A TWITTER CLONE BECAUSE THERE IS A REASON WHY WE ARE HERE AND NOT ON CRAPPY TWITTER! GET OFF YOUR ASS MARK AND PUT FACEBOOK BACK TO THE OLD LAYOUT!
