I surprised myself by actually going to the Safety Dance last night, which was exactly as I imagined it would be: filled with sweaty freshmen making out on the d-floor. Granted, I have no idea of actually knowing whether everyone around me was a freshman, but the lack of familiar places plus the excitement of 80s music (so foreign to those born in 1991!) and making out with no adults present seemed to indicate FRESHMEN. Are all big Yale events geared toward the freshmen class? And, as Chloe pointed out, they all seem to think that every item of American Apparel clothing constitutes an appropriate costume.
