David Sedaris, favorite funnyman amongst NPR listeners and Barnes & Noble window shoppers alike, is making an appearance at our very own Shubert Theater tonight. I’m surprised that on his trip to NuHaven he hasn’t planned a Master’s Tea in conjunction, given Yale’s penchant for recruiting This American Life contributors to speak to hordes of students so receptive that they arrive already laughing– maybe it’s top secret? soon to come?
In any case, there are still tickets available, but if you’re not carrying around an extra 50 or 60 bucks, you’re best bet is probably to have a few drinks at Hot T’s before you lurk by the back door, wait for him to come out, then start yelling, “Do Billie Holiday! Do Billie Holiday!!!“
