Snowmageddon ends up merely promblatic

In the lead-up to Snowmageddon 2010, the Media was saying it would a Problem—traffic stopped, coats ruined, alopecia-afflicted ponies killed. I, only the other hand, thought it would be a Very Fun Day. I (and, via e-mail, Paul Needham!) lobbied Ricky Lev for a Snow Day; I imagined a day of frolicking and Divinity Hill sledding; I was ready to put a bunch of dried beans in my CrockPot and hunker down for a night of work at home. But all my hopes were dashed when Snowmaggedon missed us and we got only like four inches of snow.

Snowmageddon became a promble.

A promble is kind of like a problem, but it’s more minor and subjective—what in our parents’ day was called a “high-level problem.” Really more an annoyance than anything else. Prombles don’t hurt, they just irritate.

So this afternoon, I tried to go to the AT&T store to reactivate my phone, and it was closed due to “inclement weather.” Just a few minutes ago, I excitedly walked over to the Thain Family Cafe to buy a Judie’s Chocolate Chip Cookie, and it had closed early. I wore ugly clothes in fear of nice ones being ruined.

None of these things will affect my life. They’re just prombles. If the storm gave you any passing trouble, write about it in the comments!

  • I have been so worried about the blizzard I could barely sleep!!!

Then I spotted the promblatic spelling on this post’s title and I worried about that! !!!!

But I guess promble is a slang term just like hootananny or disco! LOL

    BML That the blizzard missed!

  • bullblog, stop trying to make promble happen!
