Sphincter Troupe: the drinking game

By 14 November 2009 7 Comments

Unless you’ve set your heart on attending Prohibition start to finish, you should be thinking about going to the Sphincter Show at 9:30 in the Branford common room; there’s probably no group of women on campus (except Theta) sharper or better at timely satires of campus issues. If you are easily offended, a member of the Greek system, or strongly pro-Yale administration, you may want to stay away. But if you aren’t, and decide to go, bring this Bullblog Drinking Game along—and, for good feminist measure, a cosmo!

TAKE ONE SIP IF:

  • You’re forced to stand because all the seats are taken
  • Chase Olivarius-McAllister plays a frat boy
  • Anyone on stage references the Zeta Psi scandal
  • You see more than half of your American Photo section in the audience
  • You see more than half of your Lincoln at 200 section in the audience
  • There is a skit about the embattlement of smokers at Yale
  • There is a skit about cat-calling
  • Anyone says the word “rape”
  • Anyone uses the phrase “Yale slut”
  • Anyone plays a member of the Yale administration
  • A skit makes fun of something you do on a regular basis

TAKE TWO SIPS IF:

  • Anyone plays Provost Salovey with OR without fake mustache
  • Anyone plays Paul Needham or his suitemate Mike Jones
  • You or a close friend of yours is called out by name
  • You spot any of the Troupe members drinking backstage
  • Anyone says the phrase “James Franco”

FINISH YOUR COSMO IF:

  • You mistakenly laugh at a skit that’s supposed to be serious
  • There is a reference to the Bullblog in a skit
  • A skit features an actual rape on stage

Good luck! And if you have other ideas, by all means, comment with them!
