Yale Fails: Indie Music

In thinking about Yale’s inadequacies – no lobster, no safety, no flu vaccines- I realized what our fine university was really lacking: a successful band to call our own. Wesleyan has MGMT, Columbia has Vampire Weekend, and even Harvard has Chester French. Yale kids should stop trying to save the world through beauty and justice, and start thinking more about our collective indie cred, duh.

Harlem Shakes anyone????
How about the dirty projectors?
My money is on The Rollover Motive, or at least its frontman. Great Caesar ["and the GoGetters"] could go far, too. But it is true that they don’t seem to go all in promoting themselves and doing shows at every opportunity, which is frustrating for a fan who wants to see them explode. But they’ve certainly got the talent, and I remain hopeful.
