The reaction of a typical Yale student upon discovering that the course listings for fall 2010 were not yet online:

Cross Campus promised that the listings would be up by the 15th.  The 15th’s still not over, but last year the listings went up at 10am EST so this unprecedented tardiness is all but unacceptable… at least for the sad many who will spend the next 2 months designing their shopping period schedule.  The Cross Campus post got a slew of incredible comments from frustrated Yalies, including one from “insane person”:

I just graduated and I am looking forward to this! must move on…

And one from someone who we really hope was exaggerating:

WHERE IS OCI? All the Yalies in Europe are dying for this. We all stayed up till midnight but NO OCI! Oh, OCI, please come hither, for we await your majestic appearance to unfold in front of our eyes!

I know of at least one Yalie in Europe who I am certain did not stay up until midnight waiting for OCI to be posted and I doubt that I will check OCI until I am safely back in the boredom of my own home for the week before I go back to school, but maybe I’m in the minority on this.  I guess Yalies really are that nerdy.
