Seun Adebiyi (LAW ’09) was training to be the first Nigerian to compete in the Winter Olympics in skeleton (or any other sport) when he was diagnosed with stem cell leukemia and lymphoblastic lymphoma. He’s still looking for a bone marrow match, but hopefully all the press he’s been receiving will help him find one.

Reputable publications like the NYTimes and the YDN have already covered the story; more interestingly, OK! Magazine (check out their equally worthwhile coverage on Heidi Montag’s hopes for size H breasts) just picked up on it. Why? Singer Rihanna and actor Justin Chambers (“Massimo” in the Wedding Planner; perhaps better known as Dr. Karev on Grey’s Anatomy) are showing their support for Adebiyi.
